It has been a few months, so I decided to make a trip into the City of Adelaide to discover what was news.  Pleasantly surprised by the following :-

ANZ Bank in the City is now open on Saturdays

Botanic Gardens has done up a few areas for their 150th anniversary and now have visitors centre, cafe, shop and some new garden areas.  Very pleasant having a coffee overlooking the gardens

And the big one.  Starbucks is now open in Rundle Mall.  How did I miss that one, I didn’t even know they were opening. I didn’t partake in a Starbucks coffee as I had just had one in the gardens..but I will

Edit pictures online

While scouting around for new ideas for my Photoblog, I came across Snipshot.  A very quick and easy way to crop, resize and do basic adjustments to an image or photo.  The use of an easy bookmarklet enables an image from a web site to be edited, resaved and even stored to Flikr.

I took some of Gareth’s recently posted about artwork and cropped it!.

I got a new Contact on Flikr today, a photographer from Brazil, Fabio Tieri. One of his photos caught my attention and I marked it as a favourite and today he allocated me as a contact, so I reciprocated.

Will look forward to featuring some of his great photos on my Photoblog.

I have added a few more blogs to my list, just to keep things interesting.  This is a new one from Maryam that has some funny and interesting posts.  And some great recipes as well.  Check this one out!

BAKED STUFFED CHICKEN6-7 lb. chicken
1 cup melted butter
1 cup stuffing
1 cup uncooked popcorn
salt/pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Brush chicken well with melted butter, salt and pepper.
Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn.
Place in baking pan with the neck end toward the back of the
oven.
Listen for popping sounds.
When the chicken’s ass blows the oven door open and the chicken
flies across the room, it is done.

Hehehe

Last week on Rove, there was an interview with Elmo from Sesame Street.  Interestingly I suddenly remembered this while I was thinking of my blogging topic.  A quick google search uncovered Elmos Playground – the place for Elmo lovers!

Lots of interesting things, including a ‘loading’ elmo faces and elmos buttons

After some gentle prompting, Gareth decided to clean the science experiments out of the fridge.  This seems to be a common theme, dishes cooked, partially consumed and then forgotten about in the depths of the fridge.

We regularly get emails at work requesting the owner of the clay pot which is sprouting legs and about to run away to take ownership or it gets dumped.

Well, Gareth took ownership and threw away today.
