50 Years

My favourite song in 1985, was called 50 Years, by Uncanny XMen.  Found it tonight on Youtube.  My first attempt at posting a video on my blog.

 Frog 3

How very bizzare..a see-through frog. I saw this briefly on the news this morning and had to look into further.  See here.  These are bred, but interestingly only 1 in 16 end up being see-through!  Nature twisted..

Google searching

Never know, you might find one of these Google searching tips helpful.  Some of these I learnt recently at TAFE, but I wasn’t aware of the calculator or number range searches.  Go Google!

The Six-Word Memoir

I think this is an excellent idea – create your six-word memoir and I challenge all my readers (all 3 of you!) to come up with your own.  I am working on mine now :0)

Survivor – The Ultimate Reality TV Show

I happened to flick over to the latest season of Survivor – Panama.  I have not followed this season at all, so I don't know any of the characters, but it got me thinking to where and when it all began (when I was totally hooked!).  Survivor was really one of the first (successful) reality TV shows.

Richard Hatch was the winner of the first survivor.  He was definitely a character, as have many who have gone through the show.  I remember reading somewhere recently that he was thrown in jail for tax evasion.  So, money really cannot buy you happiness (even a Milliion bucks).

The challenge which they were playing out when I turned over was a strength challenge, holding up a percentage of their body weight in a weight/pully system and getting dunked when they lost.  There have been some interesting challenges over the years as well…must be hard trying to come up with new ones each year.

It will be interesting to see how many more seasons of Survivor there are left?

What do you think?  Who was your favourite survivor character?  Do you still watch the show, or has the gloss gone?

The average person spends two years on the phone in his/her lifetime.

I think that it would be interesting to update this fact based on how much time the average person spends on the Internet.  I know that now I have discovered blogging, I have doubled my access.

Mobile phones are everywhere nowadays.  Can imagine that this has played a big part in increasing the usage significantly…

The average person falls asleep in 7 minutes!!

Frankly this seems a bit unbelievable. I think that it took me about 70 minutes last night, after spending a couple of hours of research and investigation, the brain was working overtime
AND then it started raining at 4:00am in the morning and the gutters were overflowing and woke me up…again..so maybe only 7 minutes after waking up. to go back to sleep.  And then about 7 hits of the snooze button before getting up in the morning.

Probably almost time to test out whether I will fall into the ‘average’ tonight.
