Currently watching the Adelaide Credit Union Christmas Pageant.  It is the 75th anniversary of this spectacular, and it even has it’s own website nowadays.  Just informed that there are 164 clowns in the pageant.

I was considering heading in for a live experience, but the heat today and large expected crowds did put me off I have to admit – more comfortable sitting here and watching it.  Only 6 weeks till Xmas!

50 Years

My favourite song in 1985, was called 50 Years, by Uncanny XMen.  Found it tonight on Youtube.  My first attempt at posting a video on my blog.

I dutifully took in my prepared mince and vegies for lunch today.  Resisted the temptation to ditch it for something from the shop.  Cooked the mince in the microwave as well as the vegies to add to it (very healthy)  Cooked the mince for an exta 30secs.  Took hold of the mince out of the microwave…owww..hot and then…dropped it all over the tabletop and floor in the staff room at work.

Mince, on the floor..sorry..not a good look.

Luckily no-one witnessed this and I was able to clean up the majority of my lunch before anyone ventured into the lunchroom.  Lunch today…soup!!

Why is it that our memory is good enough to retain the least triviality that happens to us, and yet not good enough to recollect how often we have told it to the same person?

I have good news, and bad news on my entertainment equipment front.  Bad news first, my DVD player finally spat the dummy last night.  I think it went out in protest based on the two different dvd’s I tried to play on it last night (the first one was crap..can’t even remember what it was called and the second was a bit on the boring side).  Anyway, no DVD player at the moment, so will have to amend that situation next weekend.

Good news, the spring clean last weekend uncovered my mp3 player, so after a re-stock of batteries, I am now musical again.  Will be good to motivate me to do a bit more on the exercise cycle!

I recently bought the DVD of Summer Heights High, after catching a few of the episodes on television.  It is extremely creative and funny and I will recommend it if you are looking for something a bit different.  Chris Lilley plays three totally different, but all very unique characters, who all attend a fictional school.

Check out the website for more info.

As you will probably be aware from previous posts I am currently trying to increase my fitness and improve my health and along the way drop a few (well actually quite a lot) of kilos.  I have set myself small goals and currently working toward the first one…

Along the way, a friend pointed me to this website called CalorieKing.  I have seen this type of thing as American sites, but this is an excellent Australian site that lets you track calories, keep a food diary to track how much fat/protein/carbs you are eating, monitor exercise, water consumpton and ‘steps’/activity.

I am definitely hooked on this site, which is great from a motivational aspect.  Also a great way to keep up with others.  I am thinking of starting a blog via the site to monitor my weight loss journey..
